One person, one practice

Rahul Shivhare

I came to this practice from India and have made it in London. I teach as a yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance, and most of what I know about the body I learned by spending years inside it — as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Level 2 Gym Instructor (Active IQ), and as a Certified Nutrition Coach (LDNM Academy), where I came to see nourishment as the ground everything else stands on.

I've always been drawn to disciplines that ask for patience and return. I dive — a PADI and SSI rescue and deep diver — and I've skated since childhood, competing and later coaching here in London. More recently, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has become a teacher of its own: I train and compete as a blue belt, and the mat keeps showing me where my edges are. Alongside all of it I've studied genetics, nutrition, and how the body actually works — the same curiosity that led me to functional diagnostics.

None of it sits in separate boxes. Breath, movement, food, attention — one practice, returned to daily. That is what I teach, and it's what I try to live before I teach it.

Teaching in London.
